Creating A Paper From Nothing
As part of the founding staff for The Black Sheep, I knew I had an uphill battle. Even with half a writing team and no copyeditor, I refused to allow anything to go to print that didn't meet our writing standards.
Personal Conviction
IDEAS. WORDS.
RESULTS.
I WON'T STOP UNTIL IT'S PERFECT.
At The Black Sheep, we knew we were a magazine written by students, for students. It was up to us to get things rolling and keep them going, no matter the obstacles.
A Different Kind of Paper
Publishing Experience
Between school projects and my own curiosity, I've explored all kinds of creative outlets.
> website building
> video editing
> alternative slideshow design
> magazine production
> blogging
> cloud storage and file sharing
> word processing
I've been influenced by books, movies, and research alike. I draw in information like a sponge and use it to achieve my goals.
Practical Skills
Military Family, Military Values
There was no room for clutter in my household. Organization and timeliness were not just virtues, they were necessities.
SOURCE MATERIAL
Working with a staff composed entirely of unpaid students was a challenge. Without dedication and hard work, the magazine never would have gotten off the ground. I wasn't about to let that happen.
